Christmas Train Ride and Visit with Santa at Travel Town Museum
Los Angeles, California (PRWEB) November 25, 2011
For the 9th year in a row, Travel Town Train Museum in Griffith Park will host a unique holiday event starting November 26, 2011. On 18 evenings between Thanksgiving and Christmas, families will be able to visit Santa at his house at the North Pole amid historic trains and wondrous decorations. Once they visit with Santa they can jump on the miniature train for an exciting music filled journey around the beautifully decorated museum property.
This event is operated by Travel Town Railroad in cooperation with the City of Los Angeles, Department of Recreation and Parks. It is a wonderful alternative to visiting Santa at the mall and this year will be the only Holiday light show in Griffith Park.
You may buy tickets for a particular night at the Travel Town ticket booth or online at http://www.TravelTownRailroad.com. We are limited to approximately 700 guests each evening so buy your tickets early to assure that you can have a seat on this special train ride. Tickets are sold in one hour time slots. You can ride the train and visit Santa any time during that hour or after, space available.
Starting at 5 p.m. on the evenings detailed below, families may enter the Museum and board the miniature train ride at the gaily decorated station. Or they may visit with Santa at his special house in the Museum exhibit hall amid box cars and fire trucks. Photographs with Santa are available for $ 5.00 each. At the train station while waiting to board they will be entertained by a dazzling dancing light show. Once aboard the train, they will travel past the locomotive barn and Santa’s Workshop through the light tunnel and past the Gingerbread house. After entering the Ice tunnel and easing by some magical deer on the hill above the museum our passengers will arrive back at the station. The Travel Town Museum Gift Shop will be open most evenings. There will be snack food and hot drinks available most evenings.
